Ross Wilson fired a thinly veiled dig at former Rangers chairman Dave King today during the club's annual general meeting.

The AGM was held at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow and Wilson came under heavy fire during the shareholder Q&A session as supporters voiced their concerns over the club's recruitment.

One supporter branded Wilson's reign as sporting director a "disaster" as a number of transfers were called into question.

Wilson responded to criticism but he did knock back an opportunity to place a price tag on the current Ibrox squad.

Former chairman King provided a response to a similar question in 2020 when he claimed Steven Gerrard's squad at the time was worth £200million.

In response today, Wilson said: "That was a number last given by previous chairman Mr King without any science behind it.

"I wouldn’t do that as it’s a figure out the air and that’s not how to address shareholders."

Managing director Stewart Robertson was quick to stick up for Wilson when asked if the board believes he is the right man for the job.

He said: Managing director Robertson also was fully behind Wilson, adding: "Yes we do. The progress under Ross Wilson has been outstanding."

Meanwhile, Douglas Park has been quizzed on his five year plan for the Light Blues during the club AGM.

The question was asked by Club 1872, who are Ibrox shareholders and recently made clear they will be voting against the reappointment of the 72-year-old to the Gers board.

They asked: "Can Douglas Park tell us his five year plan for success on the pitch and accountability off of it."

The chairman replied: "The plan is to win as many trophies as possible.

"There is a problem with club 1872 that we would like to see resigned but it requires them to sign an NDA like everyone else.

"Club 1872 are welcome."
