Douglas Park today admitted that there are sometimes negotiations where clubs must accept they've "done their best" as he responded to Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos' Rangers contract scenario.

The key duo are yet to agree new deals at Ibrox with their current terms set to expire at the end of the season.

It means both players could discuss pre-contract moves from as early as January should they see their future elsewhere.

Michael Beale admitted he'd like to see the duo commit to new Rangers contracts but is well aware they could depart in the summer.

And sporting director Ross Wilson today insisted the club have not allowed the contract situation to arise after being challenged over the possible free Ibrox exits next year.

With the duo yet to agree new deals, Betfair has drawn up a list of future clubs for the pair with Premier League and La Liga as possible destinations.

The bookmaker prices a move to Everton (4/5) as the favourite for Ryan Kent, with Aston Villa next in the odds list at 5/2.

Manchester United, Wolves, Leeds and Leicester are also cited as possible moves for Kent should he depart Ibrox with Roma an outside shout.

Meanwhile, Morelos has been tipped for a switch to Spain to join Sevilla in the summer if he leaves Rangers.

The Spanish club are priced at 4/1 with an MLS switch at 5/1 and a move to Saudi Arabia third in the odds at 7/1.

Wilson hit back at claims the pair have been allowed to run down their Ibrox deals after being challenged at the club AGM, stating: “They are not being allowed to run their contracts down.

"We would absolutely, and Michael said it in the press conference, like those two players you have mentioned to commit their futures to Rangers.

"You saw during Kenny’s presentation that there is a clear willingness from the board to invest in the squad.

"However, for a player to sign a contract and stay here, there needs to be certainly two parties willing to commit – the football club and the player.

"You also need the agent, you sometimes need the wife, you sometimes need the mum and dad and everyone involved.

"The two players involved – Ryan and Alfredo – are two very different situations."

Chairman Park added: "Can I just add, that the board have tried to negotiate with those players. There comes a stage, like in any negotiation, where you try to settle.

"If the terms that maybe people are looking for are unattainable, you sometimes have to accept that you have done your best."
