Rangers have been boosted by the news that John Lundstram's injury is reportedly not ad bad as first feared.

The midfielder picked up an ankle problem during Saturday's match against Ross County at Ibrox.

The former Sheffield United ace was forced off after just ten minutes into the 2-1 win, as Malik Tillman replaced him.

Leaving the ground at the weekend, Lundstram was pictured wearing a protective moon boot, as concerns were further sparked about the knock.

Michael Beale also admitted after the match that it looks a bad one for the 28-year-old.

However, the Scottish Sun reports that Rangers have been handed some good news after a scan.

They state that the injury is not as bad as first expected.

It's been suggested that Lundstram would make a quicker return that anticpated, with Rangers hopeful he could make it back in time for the Viaplay Cup final against Celtic later this month.

Speaking about the injury after the match, Beale said: "He stabilised us a little bit today. John is really important to our structure and was fantastic in midweek.

"He's gone to block a shot and rolled his ankle. It looks like quite a nasty one. We will take a scan on that in the next 24 hours and update afterwards."

Meanwhile, Alfredo Morelos has reportedly rejected a mega-money move to Turkiye.

The Rangers star is free to speak to other clubs with his current deal at Ibrox expiring in the summer.

While it looks likely that he will depart Glasgow after six years, the Colombian hasn't completely ruled out signing a new contract.

It was said earlier this week that ambitious Turkish side Konyaspor wanted to take the 26-year-old at the end of the season.
