Rangers have been tipped to make a move for Manchester United star Scott McTominay.

The 26-year-old is facing a big decision regarding his future this summer.

The Scotland midfielder has dropped down the pecking order at Old Trafford under Erik ten Hag this season.

He does still regularly feature from the bench, however, the arrival of Casimero has significantly limited the number of starts McTominay has been handed.

The likes of Fred, Christian Eriksen, and Marcel Sabitzer have all played ahead of the super-fit Scot.

His last start came against West Ham in the FA Cup a week past on Wednesday, where he was substituted off at half-time.

McTominay has been heavily linked with a move to Newcastle in recent times.

But former Man United defender Paul Parker reckons a move to Rangers would help to kickstart his career - but not Celtic.

He reckons it could be the right place for the midfielder to prove how good he is.

Speaking to speaking to MyBettingSites, Parker said: “I think it could be a possibility for him to go to Rangers. He is not good enough to play for Celtic.

"There is no way he would be able to play regularly for Celtic in the way they play. He will have a better chance of playing if he moves to Rangers.

“But it's a big decision for him to leave Man United. But he has to do it because right now he is also playing jeopardy with his spot in the national team.

"He can be a sub for Man United but if he got anything about himself he wants to play as many games as possible.

“Right now his career isn't something to write about and he needs to show that he is hungry enough to get a decent career. I expect that he wants to leave Man United to show that he is a good player.”
