Michael Beale has named his Rangers team to take on Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership.

There’s a 500th appearance in Light Blue for Allan McGregor as he becomes just the 16th player to reach that milestone for the club.

Beale makes three changes to his side from the last league outing against Motherwell with Borna Barisic, Malik Tillman and Alfredo Morelos coming into the starting line-up in place of Ridvan, Fashion Jr and Antonio Colak.

McGregor starts in goal with James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Ben Davies and Borna Barisic in front of him.

John Lundstram, Ryan Jack and Todd Cantwell are in midfield, with Malik Tillman, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos completing the Rangers XI.

On the bench this afternoon are Jon McLaughlin, Ridvan, Antonio Colak, John Souttar, Rabbi Matondo, Glen Kamara, Scott Wright, Fashion Jr and Scott Arfield.

RANGERS: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Davies, Barisic, Lundstram, Jack, Cantwell, Tillman, Kent, Morelos.

Subs: McLaughlin, Ridvan, Colak, Souttar, Matondo, Kamara, Wright, Fashion Jr, Arfield.

Speaking ahead of the game, Beale said: “It is important for us that we are very sharp in the final third and we keep creating the opportunities that we are and scoring goals.

“Of late we have scored quite a lot of goals but it’s also fair to say in every single game we could have scored more.

“For me the most important thing is that we are creating chances and scoring.

“I would like us still to be a little more ruthless because I think if you look back to the Motherwell game we should have scored more goals, the Raith game as well, away at Hibs we should have scored more goals.

“There are good signs that we are scoring threes and fours, but also I want us to be a little bit more ruthless.”
