Nico Raskin netted a double to give Belgium under-21s a 2-0 win over Israel.

The Rangers midfielder bagged both goals within 15 minutes in the second half.

Raskin, 22, was in from the start for his country in the friendly contest.

And he was the all-important scorer as he single-handedly claimed victory.

His first - after 51 minutes - came after a smart team move started by the midfielder.

Raskin controlled on the edge of the box before backheeling to a team-mate where the ball was shifted out wide and crossed into the box.

A team-mate was unable to get a shot away in the box but Raskin was on-hand to smash home from 12-yards to give his side the lead.

And he would double the lead just 13 minutes later - albeit in a much more fortuitous fashion.

This time, Raskin again collected on the edge of the box but decided to take a shot at goal and was rewarded as the ball sneaked in the bottom corner.

Raskin's left-footed shot ricocheted off a defender with the wicked deflection sending the ball curling into the bottom corner past the despairing keeper.
