It was an eventful Friday morning briefing on the eve of the new Scottish Premiership season.

Rangers kick off their domestic campaign against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park at 5:15 pm and Michael Beale will be determined to pick up all three points on the road.

On today’s briefing, Euan and Stevie previewed the season opener and examined who would line up in defence with Connor Goldson expected to return.

The morning briefing went live before Beale’s press conference this afternoon and he revealed that Ridvan Yilmaz will miss out through injury.

Rangers’ spending this summer was also in the spotlight after James Bisgrove conducted an interview at the new museum on Thursday and he spoke about the ongoing recruitment process to find a technical director.

He said: “I think we're keeping our options open at the moment. We did meet some candidates that had some really great experience in terms of that director of football or sporting director role. We, at the moment, have stayed very, very focused on the summer transfer window and delivering on that plan.

“And I think once the transfer window closes, we will have a board meeting and we'll discuss what's right for the club moving forward. But I think the collaboration between the chairman, John Bennett, our board, myself and the manager and his recruitment team - that's been so strong and we believe that the outcome and the results from the transfer window are so positive that we'll come back to that. We'll come back to that before we take a definitive decision. We're keeping an open mind, I would say at the moment.”

With the season upon us, Euan and Stevie also provided their predictions on a host of different topics and you can watch it all on our YouTube channel below!
