Everything the manger said to Sky after the game.

What were your thoughts on the game?

It was a really strong away performance. I thought first half we started the game really well and had a couple of chances. I'm delighted for Kemar Roofe. We live with him very day and we know how frustrated he's been the last few months - that's just rewards for all the work he's done to get back. I thought it was a fantastic finish off the corner and James Tavernier scored an incredible goal. From my angle it looked like it was going over before it dipped in. I would have liked us to kick on and get the third before half-time because we were dominant but second half Malky Mackay mixed it up a bit in terms of going into the strikers and they are a handful so I'm delighted with the clean sheet.

What were your thoughts on Kemar Roofe's showing?

He's looked incredibly sharp all through pre-season but it's been a matter of building up his minutes and modifying his training to make sure we get him back for a consistent period of time. His goals-per-game record in this league and for Rangers is fantastic so that's a big boost for us.

Tom Lawrence is also back today. Is that also pleasing?

Another player that's been out for 11 months. He's been nagging me saying he's more ready than I think he is but now he's back and the next week will be good for him. The international break is coming at the right time because after that I see him in contention for being a starter again and that's a huge boost. Both Kemar and Tom bring so much experience in terms of their age and appearances. We need those types.

Is the team improving game by game?

Certainly for the first 45 minutes and in patches of the second half. I thought we could have stayed with the ball more. We had over 20 shots and big chances. I suppose when you don't get that third goal then Ross County are only ever a mistake or a moment of magic away from making it tense. Overall I'm pleased. We need to go away from home and keep clean sheets. I thought in the first half our front three showed their power, we were able to play into them and get support. Overall I'm delighted with the day and it's the start of a busy week.

John Souttar was man of the match. What did you make of him?

He's been outstanding and again, another one who is over his injury issues of the past. I've been delighted with him. I thought John Lundstram was very good today in front of Connor Goldson and John. He's not only a good defender, he's like an extra midfielder, you can see the way he steps out and plays through the lines. I'm delighted with him.

How does this set you up for midweek?

It's a completely different type of game and challenge. We are just happy to get through this with a win and no injuries and it gives us day or a couple days now to really focus on that, give it our best effort, and we go over there looking to take the game to Eindhoven.

Anything in Ianis Hagi to Israel?

Nothing on that.

How much more do you want to do before next week?

We have a really big squad so naturally one or two might look to go and get some football, whether that's one or two of the younger ones or it's been reported Glen Kamara might move and he's not been involved. Ianis we have been speaking about. He missed out on the squad today along with Kieran Dowell who had a slight knock. As the week goes on, something could happen, but as it stands now it will be more outs than ins for sure.
