Everything the manager said to TNT Sport after the game.

You must be happy with that?

Yes because it was a really good opponent and you could see that. First half we didn't show enough belief with the ball, maybe the last ten minutes of the first half, having said that the big two chances fell to us with Rabbi Matondo and Abdullah Sima and Kemar Roofe might do better with one at the end of the first half. We spoke about it at half time about showing more belief, more passion and more desire. The goal typified that because the first three or four contacts in the box were ours.

Whose goal was it?

I think Ben Davies has been very gracious and handed it to Abdullah. The thing about Ben is he comes into the season injured, he missed up until the international break. A lot has been said about him outside and yet the last two performances from him have been outstanding with two clean sheets since he came back into the team. I thought tonight, the desire of the team on that set play won it. We had other chances hitting the bar and the post, it wasn't perfect and we need to improve but it's a big step in the right direction.

A word for Jack Butland tonight after some important saves?

At this level you need that, I think we signed a fantastic goalkeeper and he wanted to come here and show everybody his true level. He's been frustrated in the last few years not playing as much and I think he's already shown in his short time here he's a fantastic keeper.

Does that ease the pressure on you?

We have to win at the weekend then there is a quarter-final in midweek and another home game the following Saturday. I watched Aberdeen earlier and they did really well over in Frankfurt so the pressure and expectation for me and these players is just around the corner. We will enjoy tonight then tomorrow morning we need to get back on it. There are areas of our game we need to improve but in terms of work ethic, desire and passion tonight, I will take that. It's a great starting place for us.

Do you enjoy the pressure and the relentless aspect of the job?

I have one of the best jobs in the world and it's a huge privilege. You have to enjoy this. Tonight I'm the manger of Rangers against Betis in the Europa League and we have won. What's not to enjoy?
