Rangers midfielder Tom Lawrence has suffered another injury setback and will be out of action until after the winter break, manager Philippe Clement has confirmed.

The midfielder limped off during the 1-0 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle after pulling up on the pitch.

And Clement explained that the Wales international will not be available until at least after the new year.

He said: "Tom Lawrence will be out until the winter break.

"Danilo will also be out, a problem with his knee after a tackle during the game. There may be a chance of surgery.

"Our focus is now on the guys who are fit for big matches coming up in the next few weeks. We are creating chances, and keeping clean sheets.

"The team is taking big steps. A lot of work from everyone. The team is in a good way to improve and become better.

"It's now on others to show they are ready. Kemar (Roofe) is coming back from an injury also so we need to take that into account and just throw him back into the pitch. Scott Wright and Ryan Jack will also miss out tomorrow."

Meanwhile,  John Lundstram has provided an update on his Ibrox contract.

The Englishman's contract is up at the end of the season after he signed in the summer of 2021.

And he was coy about whether discussions are currently ongoing between his agent and the club.

"I am [out of contract in the summer], yeah," he said. "It is personal between the club and me, so I would rather keep it that way.

"It is just between me and the club".
