Former Rangers loan star Malik Tillman looks set to complete a £12 million move to PSV Eindhoven in the summer after hinting he wants to remain at the club next season too.

And that could land the Ibrox side a tidy £1.2 million windfall.

The on loan Bayern Munich ace was a big player for the Ibrox side last season, but the deal to make the loan to Scottish football become permanent collapsed this summer after the German giants had a rethink about his future and sent him to the Eredivisie with Rangers' Champions League conquerors PSV instead.

Rangers reportedly received around £1 million compensation because Bayern pulled out of the deal and are entitled to a further ten per cent sell-on of the American international's future fee.

He helped PSV gain a draw with Borussia Dortmund this week in the Round of 16 first-leg tie in the Champions League.

And he looks set to turn the loan move into a permanent one next term.

Tillman said: "For me, it always comes down to playing time or prospects. Hopefully next summer I will look back on the second season in which I regularly played at a high level after being at Rangers last year. That's how I would like to see it continue.

"'The atmosphere is really good. We have grown really close as a team. Everyone has fun: the manager, the staff. We just like to play football, and you can see that in us.

"I also think we play very attractively. Peter Bosz has a precise plan, and we try to follow it. It's all about intensity, with and without the ball."

Tillman has flourished after recovering from injury and has scored five goals and made four assists in the 16 league appearances he's made.

He made 43 appearances for Rangers in all competitions and scored 12 goals.
