Rangers return to Europa League action on Thursday in the last 16 of the competition.

Philippe Clement's side progressed to the round of 16 after winning their group and avoiding the play-off round.

Now, they face Benfica across two legs for a chance to make the final eight of the UEFA tournament.

Rangers will travel to Portugal for the first leg before returning to Ibrox the following week.

And Clement reckons Rangers are underdogs in the contest and warned his players they will need to be at the top of their game to advance.

He said: "It's a really exciting challenge. It's a very, very good team. I think it will be the first game since I've been here that we will be underdogs. That's the reality.

"But it doesn't mean we cannot qualify. We believe in our qualities and I think with the mentality that there is in this group now, that we can beat everybody.

"We need to be at our top form and you need to have luck also in key moments in the game."
