Ianis Hagi has dropped a major hint on his Rangers future as he revealed his plan to remain in Spain.

The Ibrox midfielder was shipped out on loan to Alaves in La Liga by Michael Beale.

And Hagi has revealed his is planning on an extended stay in Spain beyond his current terms away from Rangers.

Asked whether he sees himself in Spain a year from now by Marca, Hagi stated: "Yes, it is where I want to be.

"It is the football in which I want to grow, it is the football that I believe can unlock the best version of me.

"I've only been here 6-7 months and I already feel like I'm a better player, I'm growing every day, in training and in games.

"I see progression every day and I believe that in the near future my best qualities will be unlocked and I will show everyone who I am."

Hagi's admission comes despite hailing the support for Rangers as "incredible" and revealed having "felt like a king" after doing well for the Ibrox side.

On the clubs where he has been happiest, Hagi explained: "Obviously, Farul Constanza, in Romania, where I played, because they made me the player I am now and helped me get to this level and everything I know about football is from there.

"We managed to win the Cup and the Super Cup in Romania.

"And at the international level, obviously I would say Rangers until now, because it is where I have had the most success individually and collectively, I had two great coaches there, football legends, and we had a lot of success together there and, also, the love of the fans. is incredible.

"The stadium, the support wherever you are in the world is just crazy. Playing for Rangers is a lot of pressure and responsibility, but if you do well they make you feel like a king there, so I'm very grateful."
