Ianis Hagi is expected to decide where his future in football lies after the Euros this summer.

The Rangers midfielder is on loan at La Liga side Alaves for the season having been allowed to leave the club under Michael Beale.

However, Hagi, 25, still has two more years on his current Ibrox deal meaning a return to Glasgow is certainly not off the cards.

Romanian journalist Marian Olaianos reckons Hagi would have no issue returning to play for Rangers due to his love for the club and life in Glasgow.

But a decision on his future could be delayed until after the Euros as Hagi represents Romania at the tournament.

Olaianos explained: "Ianis will decide his future after the Euros. The Euros is really important.

"I know Ianis loves Rangers, he loves the city of Glasgow very much.

"We are talking these days in Romania about his transfer to Galatasaray - probably one day we will get there too.

"But I don't think it will happen this summer.

"If Rangers want him back I don't think it will be a problem because Ianis has a contract with Rangers and in the next season Ianis, I think, will mean a lot for the team."

Hagi had been linked with a move to Galatasaray with reports in Turkey stating a deal was done, but the player's dad Gheorghe shut down the reports.

Hagi did previously hint that he could view his future away from Rangers as he admitted he could see himself still playing in La Liga in a year's time.

Asked whether he sees himself in Spain a year from now by Marca, Hagi stated: "Yes, it is where I want to be.

"It is the football in which I want to grow, it is the football that I believe can unlock the best version of me.

"I've only been here 6-7 months and I already feel like I'm a better player, I'm growing every day, in training and in games.

"I see progression every day and I believe that in the near future my best qualities will be unlocked and I will show everyone who I am."
