Rangers loanee Kieran Dowell scored yet again for Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon.

Chris Davies' men took another step closer to securing the English League One title as they defeated Barnsley by a considerable six goals to two at St Andrew's.

Jay Stansfield opened the scoring, although Davis Keillor-Dunn soon levelled for the visitors.

Birmingham raced ahead in the second 45, however, and Davies netted their fifth of the afternoon, finishing home into the bottom-right corner after some fine footwork:

Dowell joined Birmingham midway through the season after he was deemed surplus to requirements at Ibrox.

He has been in fine fettle since swapping Glasgow for the Midlands, scoring four goals and assisting three across 17 Birmingham appearances.

The 27-year-old is joined at the club by fellow Rangers loanee Ben Davies.

He moved south at the beginning of the campaign and has been a regular for Birmingham as they seek promotion to the second tier.

Now 11 points clear of second-place Wrexham with two games in hand, Birmingham are nothing but strong favourites for the League One title.
