Kevin Thomson admits he doesn't know if he has a future at Rangers with no indication of whether he will be offered a new deal.
The Gers hero returned to the club in February as a coach at under-18s level but was only given a contract until the end of the season, which has just over a week left to run on it.
Thomson says there has been little contact with the club over whether they want him to carry on in the role next season.
He admits it would be "brilliant" if that was the case but is accepting of the fact he may have to look for another opportunity.

Speaking on BBC Sportsound, he said: "I went back in the second week in February. We finished up the third in May.
"Obviously in that time there's been a takeover, a new manager.
"My contract's finished on June 30. As of yet I've not really had much dialogue with the club.
"I'm just waiting to see what's what. Moving forward, if there's an opportunity there then brilliant.
"If there's not, then you know what I'm like, I just bash on and keep grafting away."
