Max Aarons has been amazed by how Russell Martin works and the standards he is currently setting at Rangers.
The versatile full-back joined the club earlier this summer on a season-long loan deal from AFC Bournemouth.
Aarons played alongside his now boss, Martin, at Norwich City. The pair have since been reunited.
"I'd never worked under him as a manager, so it was a new experience for me coming in and working underneath him," said Aarons [Sky Sports].

"Having a really good relationship with him at Norwich was a big part [of coming to Rangers].
"Coming in here, I've been amazed with how he works, his standards, how he wants to raise the level both on the pitch and off the pitch. It has been a real kind of eye-opener for me. It's been amazing to see.
"Since coming in here, with his ideas, both as a person and tactically, it's been amazing.
"His standards and how he wants everyone to be on it every single day is something that I expected."
The 25-year-old started at left-back for Rangers in their 2-0 win over Panathinaikos in Champions League qualifying last week.
Aarons opened up on his position and role in Martin's tactical set-up: "I think it's very flexible," he said. "It's not like a traditional left-back.
"You're [not] still out there and just putting the ball down the channel, it's very different.
"Tactically, there are no excuses as a player with this set-up and this manager. You know exactly what you're doing in each phase of the game, which, as a player, is something that you want.
"Whether I'm playing on the left or playing on the right, I think I can do a good job there, and I feel comfortable there.
"Each of us are getting used to the way the manager wants us to play and I think it will improve week to week."
