Robbie Fraser has joined Dunfermline Athletic on a permanent deal.
The 22-year-old Ibrox academy graduate spent the second-half of last season on loan at Livingston, where he earned promotion to the top-flight with David Martindale's side.
The left-back, a graduate of the club's youth academy and boyhood fan, had signed a two-year contract extension last summer.
Earlier today, we told you that Rangers will bank a £6million transfer fee when Jefte completes his switch to Palmeiras in the coming days.
The Rangers Review reported this week that the left-back had emerged as a key target for the Brasileiro Série A outfit before their close of business next month.
And we can now reveal that Rangers are in line for a hefty profit on the £800,000 they paid APOEL to bring the defender from Cyprus last summer.
Palmeiras made an initial approach to Ibrox chiefs earlier this week in an attempt to gauge the situation heading into the final days of the transfer window.
Further discussions have been held over the last 24 hours and a £6million fee has been agreed. The Rangers Review understands the deal will also include performance-related add-ons and a sell-on clause.
The departure of Jefte will see Rangers look to move quickly in the market to address the left-back situation. The Brazilian started in the Champions League defeat to Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday evening and head coach Martin will now be left with Max Aarons as his only viable option.

Both Jefte and Oscar Cortes have been left out of Rangers' UEFA squad for Tuesday's meeting with Club Brugge, with Thelo Aasgaard and Mikey Moore taking their place.
Meanwhile, the Ibrox side remains in negotiations with Besiktas regarding a deal for Ridvan Yilmaz.
The two clubs are understood to still be apart on valuation for the Turkish international, who has two years left on his deal at the club.
