Rangers have held talks over a move for Bojan Miovski after the club agreed to a deal that will see Hamza Igamane become a Lille player.

Miovski, 26, moved to Girona from Aberdeen last summer but is understood to have been given permission to explore a move away from the La Liga outfit.

Igamane, meanwhile, will join French club Lille after he was left out of Russell Martin’s squad for tonight’s meeting between Rangers and Club Brugge.

The 22-year-old Moroccan striker moved to Rangers from AS FAR last summer in a deal worth £1.7million but will leave Ibrox after one season. On Sunday, Martin said that the striker had refused to come off the bench in the second half of Rangers’ 1-1 draw with St Mirren.

Martin said speaking at his press conference last night in Brugge, ahead of tonight’s second-leg Champions League play-off:  “It’s happened, we moved forward, we dealt with it, he [Igamane] has got what he wanted. He looks likely to get what he wanted to play somewhere else and it means we've got some of the money that we wanted for him. So, I think it wouldn't have happened but it did and now we've moved forward and we can move on.

Meanwhile, as the Rangers Review reported on Saturday, former Aberdeen forward Miovski is high on the club’s list of targets at No.9 as they look to strengthen the top of the pitch.

The Rangers Review understands that contact has been made regarding a move for the forward. It’s anticipated that Miovski would require a permanent solution this summer, whether that be on a loan-to-buy basis or a transfer before the window closes on Monday.

There is increasing confidence a permanent deal can be struck for the player this window.

Elsewhere, Oscar Cortes has interest from clubs in Belgium and Portugal over a loan deal, should the Colombian be allowed to leave Ibrox this summer.

Cortes moved from Lens this summer after a loan with obligation deal was struck last summer. However alongside Nedim Bajrami, he is out of the Champions League squad and wasn’t part of Martin’s subs in Paisley this weekend.
