Now, according to renowned North Macedonian journalist Filip Mishov, Miovski is in Rangers' starting XI to face Celtic today.

The 25-year-old spoke of his delight after joining the club yesterday.

"I was really happy," Miovski told RangersTV when asked what he first thought about a potential move to Glasgow. "I already knew the club. I'd been here [Scotland] two years. I know the history behind the club, so to be honest, it means a lot to me.

"I'm really looking forward to making my own history with this club.

"I spoke with a lot of people from Scotland. I have a lot of friends. They only said good words about Rangers.

"I'm a really positive guy. As I say, I will try to give my best for the fans and make them happy with the goals and trophies.

"I played in La Liga, I have good experience there. When I was at Aberdeen, I played in Europe. I've played some big games for the national team so for me it's nothing new.

"It was a busy three days, but I'm happy I'm here. I trained with the boys, I met all of the boys, all of them are really good guys. Some of them I know. From the first day, they've helped me a lot."
