Rangers are facing an away ticket sanction after a pyrotechnics display by the travelling supporters at Rugby Park this evening.

Danny Rohl's men took to the pitch in Ayrshire for their game against Kilmarnock to red flares from the away end.

The display looks set to trigger a sanction imposed on the club by the SPFL in October.

Indeed, Rangers were handed a suspended reduction of 50 tickets for a future away match in an SPFL competition.

It was said at the time that the reduction would be triggered in the event of another breach of SPFL Rule H37 through pyrotechnic use by the club’s supporters at an away match in any SPFL competition on, or before, 30 June 2026.

Because the travelling fans at Rugby Park used pyro tonight, the sanction looks set to come into play.

If it is triggered, Rangers will be required to pay the costs for the 50 docked tickets to the home club for the respective match.

It remains to be seen for what game it will impact.
