Sturm Graz have confirmed Rangers are on the brink of completing a £4 million deal to land Danish midfielder Tochi Chukwuani.

Danny Rohl's side are set to make significant moves in the transfer market after their form resurgence saw them become genuine title contenders, despite their shocking start to the season.

And they look set to complete the signing of the 22-year-old star, with the Austrian club's sports director Michael Parensen confirming the deal is as good as done.

He said: "We have a verbal agreement with Rangers.

"But I've seen so much with transfers over the years. So we won't announce the deal until everything is signed.

"If and when Tochi moves to Scotland, a player with a similar profile will come to Sturm Graz.

"We know that things will get a bit tight in the squad."

And Chukwuani previously explained what Rangers fans can expect from their new signing.

He said: "I think my greatest strength is my ball control.

"I'm a player who can contribute both defensively and offensively. I showed a lot, especially in an attacking sense, when I played in Denmark.

"I want to continue to improve and fulfil my full potential. I believe I can also improve my technical ability and that's my priority."
