Andy Halliday has lifted the lid on missing out on a move to the States with Minnesota United after leaving Rangers.
The midfielder moved on from his boyhood club at the end of his contract in 2020 and eventually signed for Hearts, even though there was reported interest from unnamed MLS clubs at the time.
He would go on to win the Championship with the Tynecastle club before featuring for them in the Premiership, including scoring a double in an Edinburgh derby victory.

Four years later, it was a move to another Premiership side in Motherwell, although he now finds himself outside of matchday squads.
For that reason, he has appeared on BBC Scotland's Open All Mics today and explained how it could all have been so different for him after his USA near miss.
The 34-year-old said: "When I left Rangers, it was COVID time. I had the opportunity to go to Minnesota in the MLS, which I was quite excited about because I love theme parks and they were training in Disney World for two weeks. So I was quite excited for that point.
"Unfortunately, I couldn't get an international visa at the time, so that fell through. I had to bin my Mickey Mouse hat that I had already bought, and then I ended up at Hearts. And I really enjoyed my time at Hearts, it's a great football club.
