Rangers and Aberdeen are in talks over a deal to see Lyall Cameron move to Pittodrie on loan for the rest of the season.
It's understood discussions over an agreement are ongoing over a possible switch, which would see the midfielder earn more regular minutes.
Cameron, 23, had been a first-team regular at Rangers under Russell Martin but his involvement has been limited since Danny Rohl's arrival at Ibrox.
The former Dundee midfielder has featured 10 times for the Ibrox club this season, but his last start came in August.
He has played just four minutes for the club since mid-November.
Now, though, Cameron could head to Pittodrie for the remainder of the season in a search for more frequent game time with the clubs in talks over an agreement.
Aberdeen are thought to have been one of the clubs also interested in Cameron when his contract was expiring at Dundee last year.

Meanwhile, Rohl stated Rangers' transfer pursuit of Andreas Skov Olsen looks "very positive".
Rangers have agreed a loan deal with Wolfsburg for the player, with the option to make the move permanent in the summer.
Quizzed on the deal on Thursday, Rohl said: "I'm not a good poker player, yeah.
"But now we are in the process, it looks very positive. But as long as it's not confirmed and everything is through, then I cannot tell you too much.
"But, yeah, let's keep working like we did by the last two signings as well."
