Hansa Rostock boss Daniel Brinkmann has addressed the future of striker Ryan Naderi and admits he is in a 'difficult situation' amid ongoing interest from Rangers.
The Rangers Review reported this week that Danny Rohl had targeted a move for the 22-year-old before the close of business on Monday night. Rohl is in the market for a centre-forward to challenge Youssef Chermiti and Bojan Miovski as Danilo prepares to clinch a move away from Ibrox in the coming days.
Rangers put an offer of around £2.5million on the table for Naderi. As it stands, the 3. Liga outfit have refused to strike a deal as they hold out for a higher offer and look to recruit a replacement for their top scorer.

It is understood that Rangers are also exploring other options should the deal for Naderi fail to materialise. Naderi trained on Thursday ahead of the fixture with FC Ingolstadt 04 this weekend and Brinkmann has spoken about the situation.
"It's definitely a topic that goes through the media every day," Brinkmann said at his pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon. "I said last week that I'd like it to be different, but I understand you all, that you're doing your job, and you're asking for updates from the public.
"It's a difficult situation for us, also for the boys. It's not an easy situation if you're dealing with it every day. We're trying to deal with it as well as we can, and we're trying to keep in good contact with him.
"I think the situation has been pretty clear from our point of view and position, namely that we want to keep Ryan in the winter. In the end, the winter transfer window is a special transfer window.
"It's not like in the summer, where you could get players from a much bigger pool if you decide to leave. It's a different situation in the winter. We have a few days left. It would mean we'd have to do something on the pitch. It's not that easy.
"Last week I said to myself, never say never in football. You always have to see how things develop, but the current status quo hasn't changed.
"We're trying to make the best out of the situation. We're not trying to make it bigger than it is, but we're trying to give it the appreciation it deserves. I think that's the only possible approach, and I'm happy when the transfer window is over."
Rohl refused to discuss the situation with Naderi as he spoke ahead of the Europa League fixture with Porto but did confirm his intent - as previously outlined by the Rangers Review - to sign another attacking option following the deal for Andreas Skov Olsen earlier in the window. Rohl has also added Tuur Rommens and Tochi Chukwuani to his squad.
“Ah… I have a number in my head,” Rohl said when asked how many players could arrive before the window closes. “I think that’s the most important thing. Andrew knows it, the recruitment team knows it. I think this is clear.
“The next three or four days will be a little bit crazy. There will be some moments where you think you will have a yes, then maybe not. But all in all, by the end of the window, I think we should have a good number of players ready for the second half of the season.”
