Westerlo have agreed a deal to sign Rangers defender Clinton Nsiala on loan until the end of the campaign.
The Rangers Review understands Nsiala will complete the switch before the close of business and be reunited with former Ibrox coach Issame Charai in Belgium.
We previously reported that the Frenchman would be allowed to leave in this transfer window after failing to win a place in Danny Rohl's plans. It is understood Westerlo will have the option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign for a fee in the region of £1million.

Nsiala joined Rangers in the summer of 2024 after rejecting offers from across the continent following his decision to leave AC Milan. The stopper has made just three appearances this term and is down the pecking order behind John Souttar, Manny Fernandez and Nasser Djiga.
Nsiala will join up with Charai six months after his own departure from Ibrox following the appointment of Russell Martin and his new coaching staff. It is the second bit of business between Rangers and Westerlo this term following the arrival of Tuur Rommens earlier in the window.
The left-back completed a £3million move to Glasgow and Charai told the Rangers Review what supporters should expect this term. Rommens has yet to feature for Rohl's side as he continues to work his way back to full fitness following a knock.
“Yes, it's very difficult because, of course, Tuur was an important player for us,” Charai told the Rangers Review. “The whole season, he has been a starting player; he is a player who played a lot of minutes also last season but he's been wonderful at the club. He's young, he's progressing, there's been a lot of interest from him and he stayed previously, so that was good.
“When the interest from Rangers came we had a chat also and he asked me about the club. I said, of course, I know the club and it's a wonderful club, it's really a wonderful club, a wonderful city. I also understand that the player has ambition and that he wants to take the next step and Rangers is a great fit for him.
“I told him it's a massive club, you'll notice directly when you play your first home game that there's quite a lot of pressure to win games. But, you know, the thing I like about Tuur, and that's why I would say he's really a Rangers player, is he is the kind of player that will always, always go for every ball.
“He's a fighter and a good player, but also somebody who's always going to be going up and down the pitch. It is the kind of player that the fans will love to see at Rangers. I'm certain that it's going to be a great fit.”
