Some fans are hoping Newcastle striker William Osula being seen in a Rangers strip could be the start of something.

The 22-year-old has been a regular in the Premier League this season, although he only has two league goals. But last night he was seen in a picture online wearing a Rangers top.

Some supporters were quick to urge him to head north to Glasgow and don the shirt for real at Ibrox.

But just why was the Dane wearing it in the first place?

Osula is friends with January signing and fellow countryman Tochi Chukwuani and has been spending time with him during some downtime, and the midfielder posted the picture of his pal on TikTok.

Chukwuani has also been handing around with fellow Dane Patrick Dorgu, who plays for Manchester United, and Newcastle's Swedish winger Anthony Elanga.

Reacting to the picture, one Rangers fan said: "Up the road @William Osula."

Another told Chukwuani: “Get will up to Glasgow as well."

Another added: “Will Osula on loan next season, who says no?”
