Andy Halliday says the striking situation should be the "only worry" for Rangers going into the title race.

Despite a dominant win over Aberdeen, front players Ryan Naderi and Youssef Chermiti both failed to find the net again. Substitute Bojan Miovski did score but saw it disllowed for a handball by Connor Barron.

Chermiti has come good in big games, but outside of four goals apiece against Celtic and Hearts, he has one league goal. Naderi is yet to break his duck in the Premiership and has only scored against lower league opposition since his January move to Ibrox.

Halliday was impressed with four players in particular against Aberdeen, but has concerns about the strikers for games which will be tighter in the title race.

Speaking on Open Goal, he said: "Tuur Rommens, Mikey Moore and Nasser Djiga. I have not been a massive Aasgard fan because I think he has got more, but I thought he was decent. It was probably the best performance Rangers have had for that area of the pitch for a while.

"The only worry, and it is not a weekend for Rangers to be negative because they were really good and deserved to win comfortably, but your two strikers not scoring. I know they do not need to score every week and the most important thing is winning the game, but you spent £13 million on those two strikers. Chermiti misses an absolute sitter as well.

"See in tight games? You need your striker to be on the end of things in the box, scoring goals. Is Chermiti or Naderi going to be that striker?

"If Rangers are to win the league, it is down to their back four all day long. Rommens is top. He has literally been an eight out of ten every game he has played so far. He is always on the last line, underlapping, overlapping, and picking people out in the box. Looks dangerous and can get on the end of things."
