Alex Rae believes Rangers are still to get the best out of striker Bojan Miovski in this season's title race.
The former Ibrox player and coach feels the North Macedonian is beginning to find his feet at the club after he hit a brace in their 6-3 win over Falkirk on Sunday afternoon.
Miovski's double took his Gers tally to 13 goals for the Light Blues and Rae reckons he could potentially become their "ace in the pack" if he is given a run of games.
The attacker, 26, has had to settle for a spot on the bench more often than not this term with the likes of Ryan Naderi and Youssef Chermiti playing ahead of him.
But Rae is sure the former Aberdeen man can play a serious part in where the trophy ends up at the end of May if he continues his scoring streak - which Miovski is capable of.
"I think he came back from the international gathering with his national team, and yes, I think the coach was critical of him, so it was obviously important for him to get amongst the goals, and I think he’s done that," Rae said on Superscoreboard.
“I think he could be the ace in the pack, for me he looks to be the more natural goal scorer.
“Now even with Naderi, if he was fit, he looks to me to be more natural finisher. So it’s important for him to get goals.
“We said in January it could potentially be him out the door because it wasn’t as if he was getting a lot of game time.
"I think he’s currently on 13 goals, which is not bad for a fringe player, if you like, and I think he can play a big part.”
