Danny Rohl has explained why Mikey Moore starts on the bench for Rangers vs Motherwell this afternoon.
Moore is one of two changes for the Ibrox outfit as they welcome the Steelmen to Glasgow for what is a crunch clash at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The Light Blues have been out of action for two weeks following their 6-3 hammering of Falkirk in their most recent outing.
Moore, 18, started in that clash but Rohl has revealed the playmaker has missed some training sessions in the fortnight leading to this afternoon's action.
And that's why the on-loan Tottenham attacker has been left on the bench with Bojan Miovski being picked to play through the middle alongside Youssef Chermiti in a front two.
"Mikey was the last 14 days more out than in the training sessions, but it looks in the last two days much, much better," the head coach told Rangers TV.
"It's good to have him on the bench, he gives us the impact on the grass.
"I know when we're playing Mikey there's also an impact on the stadium which helps in the last minutes in such a game as well."
