Barry Ferguson wants to see a reaction from the Rangers players against Celtic tomorrow.

Danny Rohl's side have lost their first two Scottish Premiership post-split fixtures to Motherwell and Hearts.

And Ferguson, who led Rangers to a famous 3-2 victory over Celtic at Parkhead last season, wants Rohl's men to react to their recent poor run of results step up to the plate once more.

"It would have been better if Rangers had won a couple of games, then there would be a real edge to it," said Ferguson on Go Radio.

"But there has still got to be an edge from Rangers. I expect and I better see a reaction.

"I'm sure the Celtic fans will be trying to drive their team on. Rangers need to show and stand up to what's going to come at them. Because I believe Celtic are going to go for it.

"I was always in the mindset and would always say to the players, 'You need to lay down a marker early doors, you need to stamp your authority on the game'.

"You've got to be careful as well with VAR. You could get away with some things back then, you wouldn't get away with it now!"
