Scott Arfield has revealed that he spoke with former Rangers coach and manager Michael Beale prior to his dugout debut as Livingston's interim manager.
The 37-year-old, who replaced Marvin Bartley as coach earlier this week, spent five years at Ibrox, working under Beale in two spells, both as a coach to Steven Gerrard and his time as Giovanni Van Bronckhorst's replacement.

Despite his opening game not going to plan, with Livingston losing 3-0 to Dundee at Dens Park, Arfield spoke about the advice he sought from Beale. "Well, the shape that we went to was very similar to my time, my first two years at Rangers," he said. [Sky Sports]
"So I spoke to Michael Beale at length on Thursday night to try and get the videos to spark the sort of process in my head that I can put it clearly, with pure and utter clarity, to the players.
