Youssef Chermiti's injury at Rangers has been described as a "disaster" by Ally McCoist.
The big striker was stretchered off against Hibs in the Light Blues' first home game of the season. And that came in the aftermath of a whopping £22million offer from Galatasaray being knocked back by the club.
Manager Derek McInnes had earmarked Chermiti as a forward to build his squad around with a big campaign ahead.
However, the knee injury he suffered against the Hibees would turn out to be anterior cruciate ligament damage which will keep the Portuguese out of action for a prolonged period of time.
McCoist, speaking to talkSPORT Bet slots site, explained how he felt it was the nightmare scenario for the Gers with a poor start already having been suffered at Ibrox.
"Youssef Chermiti’s injury is a disaster," Coisty said. "An absolute disaster. I think the rumours were that they’d been offered £23/24million for him.
"I don’t even want to talk about it, and it just dismays me. It's a massive blow for the boy, and I'm gutted for him, of course. But in terms of the club itself, there’s no other word for it than a disaster. That’s all you can say."
