Kenny Miller praised James Tavernier as an 'excellent player', but refused to confirm he's set to move to his Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv yet.
The former Rangers captain is ready to end his three-month footballing exile by signing for Miller's side after he left Ibrox in the summer following 11 years of service at the club.
Tavernier, 34, has been on the look-out for a new club and would link up again with Miller, who was his Ibrox colleague during the latter stages of the Scotland striker's career.
Miller guided his side to a 3-1 win over Maccabi Haifa in the second round of fixtures in the Israeli League this week.
And he was quizzed about his interest in Tavernier, who netted 144 goals in 562 games from right back for Rangers.

Miller said: "I know him well from Rangers, he is an excellent player. His name has come up for us in the last month.
"He is a very, very high-level player.
"But I prefer not to talk about a player who is not in the team and only about the game itself.
"We have just won after an excellent performance and we received great support from our fans.
"I think the players deserve a lot of praise because this is a good team we have here and they performed well."
