Derek McInnes says Rangers need to refine their delivery from set-pieces, with his side yet to score from a dead-ball scenario this season.
His Hearts team - alongside Rangers under Danny Rohl and set-piece coach Scott Fry - were both prolific from dead-ball situations last season, managing 0.48 goals/90.
However, chances and goals have been hard to come by so far this season, with Rangers one of three Scottish Premiership sides to score from a set-play this season, despite creating the second-highest set-piece xG/90 on average.
"We're obviously just preparing the set-play video at the minute [for the weekend], we've not done any work since the game last night, but I do think set plays are a vitally important component in any game now. Sometimes it can be the difference and having that added threat from set plays and building a reputation is something that we need to get better at here," McInnes said speaking ahead of Sunday's Old Firm game.
The Rangers manager highlighted deliveries as an area that requires improvement. James Tavernier and Connor Barron took most set-plays last season and in his full debut on Wednesday against St Mirren, it was Badredine Bouanani who was tasked with taking corners.
"I think we've struggled a wee bit in terms of set-piece takers, James Tavernier took everything here for 10 years - throw-ins, free kicks, corners - and we don't really have brilliant set-piece takers and we're trying to develop that, right and left foot," McInnes added.
"I think Bouanani has got a bit of quality that can maybe help with that. James Penrice is something he can work on as well, but even with right-footed delivery, there are things that we're still trying to get those improvements in.

"I do think you can set up and have targets and areas to hit; you can have good size and good determination, but without the delivery, everything becomes a bit more difficult.
"Defending set plays has been really strong, so there are fundamentals there and practices and consistency there that we always do and I'm pleased with that side of it, but of course set plays are a big part of the game and it's something that we will need to improve on throughout the season."
