Allan McGregor: Beaten easily by Miovski at his near post on 15 minutes but fortunately, the Aberdeen man was offside. Completely stranded when Miovski did eventually score from close range just before the break. Will have been hugely relieved to see Kennedy’s strike rattle off the inside of the post late on. Saved a Hayes effort well from distance in extra time and then made two important stops. 6

James Tavernier: Wonderful cross onto the head of Sakala in the opening stages but the Zambian’s header crashed off the upright. Tested by Duk at times but defended well in the main and linked up well with Tillman early on. Clipped the bar with a deflected effort at the start of extra time. Fantastic tackle on the edge of the box in the second half of extra time that had to be timed to perfection. 7

Connor Goldson: Made a vital defensive header in the first half when he nodded the ball behind for a corner, following a teasing Shinnie delivery aimed for Miovski. Won his share of aerial balls but was guilty of a few misplaced passes. Booked for catching Miovski in stoppage time with the ball bobbling all over the place. 7

Ben Davies: Caught napping for Aberdeen’s opener as he allowed Miovski, who he had initially played offside, to ghost in behind and prod the ball past McGregor. Brilliant pass towards Kent at the start of the second half and, in the main, was clean and precise in possession. 7

Borna Barisic: Not at his vintage best it’s fair to say. Caught on his heels for Aberdeen’s opening goal as Kennedy raced past him to cross for Miovski to score. The Croatian won’t want to see his fresh air attempt back midway through the first half although he has a legitimate reason to blame the poor condition of the pitch. Looked vulnerable at times although he did deliver a couple of teasing crosses into the danger area in the first half, one of which was met by Morelos whose header was saved. Rightly cautioned for a late lunge on Kennedy in a proper ‘taking one for the team’ tackle. 5

Ryan Jack: The Rangers midfielder just loves a goal at Hampden. Sent the vast majority inside the ground into raptures when his deflected effort beat Roos to equalise just after the hour mark after neat work between him, Kent and Morelos. He could’ve had a double but he blazed a shot over from the edge of the area following neat work by Tillman prior to his leveller. Battled well in the engine room. 7

John Lundstram: Caught underneath the flight of a long Aberdeen ball that presented Miovski with a shot on goal in the first half, luckily he fired over the bar. Made a vital block to deny a Clarkson shot on goal in the second period. Industrious as ever without being spectacular. Tested Roos near the end with a shot from the edge of the area. Replaced by Wright for the start of extra time. 6

Malik Tillman: Rangers' real bright spark in the first half. He played a number of defence-splitting passes to Tavernier and Sakala and battled well on the right-hand side. He often came deep to allow Tavernier to push on. Faded in the second half and was subbed for Kamara. 7

Ryan Kent: Caused Aberdeen a number of problems throughout. Dragged a shot wide after a bursting run past two Dons defenders early on. Often found in deep-lying positions as he tried to start attacks. He, Morelos and Jack combined superbly in the build-up to the equalising goal. Sublime bit of skill on 69 minutes when he rolled two Aberdeen players before being scythed down by McCrorie. Fizzed a shot wide in the dying embers of the 90. 8

Fashion Sakala: A typical Sakala display, with the positives outweighing the negatives. He was mightily unlucky not to open the scoring early on when his header cannoned off the post. Terrific spin and shot on 20 minutes that whistled over Roos’ crossbar. He fired another couple of shots wide in the opening half but was always looking to cause problems and run at the Dons backline. Wiped out by Stewart in stoppage time with the Dons skipper deservedly shown a straight red. Came close with a shot in the first half of extra time as Rangers looked to turn the screw. 7

Alfredo Morelos: A mixed bag from the Colombian. He fizzed a shot wide following a Rangers breakaway on the half-hour mark and came close when he powered a header on target only for Roos to save on the line. Bulldozed his way past several Aberdeen players shortly after in what was a glimpse into the past but that aside he often came off second best to Stewart in the air and his touch let him down at times. He had a big role in the equaliser as he set up Jack to fire home. 6

Substitutes

Kemar Roofe: Replaced Morelos on 73 minutes and looked lively from the off. Scored the winner at the start of extra time when he finished following great work from fellow substitute Wright. A worrying sight to see him hobble off with what appears to be a shoulder injury in the second half of extra time. 7

Glen Kamara: Replaced Tillman. Played a perfectly weighted pass to Barisic moments after coming on to set up a corner although he followed that up with an overhit pass meant for Sakala with Rangers in a promising position. Caught dallying on the ball seconds later but improved as the match wore on. 6

Scott Wright: Replaced Lundstram for extra time and made an instant impact when he burst past his marker and got to the byline before, laying the ball on a plate for Roofe to slot home. Fired an effort just wide in extra time. The drop of the shoulder caused Aberdeen issues. A real decent cameo from the former Dons man. 7

Scott Arfield: Replaced Sakala for the second half of extra time. 4

Adam Devine: Replaced Barisic at the start of the second half of extra time. 4

Charlie McCann: Replaced the injured Roofe. 3
