EINTRACHT FRANKFURT have sent a classy message to Rangers after the Europa League final.
The Ibrox club's incredible journey to the showpiece final ended in heartbreak with a penalty shoot-out defeat.
But Frankfurt delivered a message of support to Rangers after the final urging Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side to go on and win the Scottish Cup this weekend.
And the statement also saluted the "emotional, passionate and fair" nature of the final in Seville as Frankfurt insisted the clubs showed how football should be.
The message also referenced the meeting of the clubs back in 1960 in the European Cup when Frankfurt won 12-4 on aggregate over two legs.
The Frankfurt message on Twitter read: "Rangers, it was an honour for us!
"You were a fantastic opponent with your countless fans.
"Together we showed how football should be!
"Emotional, passionate, and fair.
"Greatness is revealed in defeat, especially in such dramatic fashion.
"Just like 62 years ago: you are a great club!
"See you soon. Bring home the Cup win this weekend!
"You earned it."
