Rangers rampant in attack

This might well have been Ranger' most impressive attacking performance this season.

It was a comfortable victory and in moments there was real quality in the final third from the Ibrox side.

Ryan Kent was a livewire on the left, Tom Lawrence was slick in the centre and Scott Wright was industrious to pin Ross County back.

Even the holding duo of John Lundstram and Malik Tillman displayed their quality going forward with a wide and varied range of passing on display. Colak again was lethal in front of goal.

Putting everything together and there were a number of beautiful pieces of build-up play with terrific interplay between the forward players leaving County chasing the game all afternoon.

Antonio Colak at it again

There were perhaps questions over Antonio Colak when he was first signed at Ibrox.

Surley, however, there are no discussions over the striker's ability.

A double at Ibrox this afternoon took his tally to seven in just nine games for his new club.

Always a handful, Colak put in another impressive shift leading the line and capped it with a couple of goals.

The first - while an unconventional finish - was a terrific strike into the far corner as he swept past Ross Laidlaw.

And the second was emphatic. After fabulous build-up from the Rangers attack, Colak took control and lashed home.

James Sands scrutiny

IN midweek, James Sands was being saluted for his incredible progression under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

The Ibrox ace has impressed in recent weeks at centre-back for Rangers and established himself in the team with Ben Davies, Filip Helander and John Souttar out injured.

However, this afternoon Sands endured a more difficult afternoon. The defender could have been sent off in the first-half if not for a lenient call by Don Robertson.

Sands had first been booked for an early challenge but escaped further punishment when he hauled down Jordi Hiwula as the last defender.

The centre-back looked to pull down the striker as he competed for the ball leaving Malky Mackay and his County players calling for a straight red or second yellow.

But Robertson waved play on with Sands fortunate to remain on the pitch after a sloppy opening period.

The defender regained composure to see out the first-half but was then replaced by Leon King who looked steady in a comfortable second-half.
