KRIS BOYD has slammed the Rangers defending which allowed Celtic to race into a 3-0 lead at Parkhead.

A double from Liel Abada and a Jota finish sent Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side in three goals down at the break.

And Boyd fumed over the goals as he voiced concerns over the countless occasions where Rangers stars "switched off".

Abada's opener after eight minutes came from a quick throw-in with Rangers players furious over the decision.

The second came when a free-kick was conceded in the Celtic half and Jota broke the offside trap before chipping over Jon McLaughlin.

The third strike was almost a carbon copy of the first with a throw-in leading to a cross into the box where the ball broke to Abada to lash home.

Boyd was left disappointed with the lack of intensity from his former club as he analysed the goals.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Boyd said: "From a Rangers point of view there is a few mistakes there - I know it takes a nick of John Lundstram as well but nobody reacts to that.

"The throw in, it's a worry because you know coming here you watch Celtic this season - everything is 100 miles an hour.

"I don't know how many times Rangers have switched off; set plays, free kicks throw-ins. You've got to react.

On the second, he simply added: "Switched off again.

And dissecting the third he demanded: "The Rangers centre-backs, you've got to get tighter there.

He then added: "Rangers are going to have to up it big time, second-half."
