FORMER Rangers coach Michael Beale is reportedly on a managerial shortlist at Wolves.
The ex-Ibrox tactical guru is currently in his first managerial job at QPR.
But he's already caught the eye of chiefs at Molineux who are reportedly considering him as a replacement for Bruno Lage.
The Express & Star claim Beale is among the names being considered but no formal approach to QPR or contact with the manager has been made.
Beale is impressing with QPR having led them to a current position of fourth in the Championship after 14 games.
The manager had already developed a growing reputation after success as an assistant at Sao Paulo and Rangers.
Beale was often credited as a major factor in Rangers' recent Scottish Premiership title win before joining Gerrard at Aston Villa.
Now, however, he could end up in charge of Gerrard's rival club with Wolves should he become the number one target for Molineux bosses.
It's reported former boss Nuno Espirito Santo is also among the candidates but Wolves are expected to leave interim team Steve Davis and James Collins in charge for the match against Crystal Palace in midweek.
