New Rangers boss Philippe Clement has revealed he had "concrete offers" from several clubs, including in Saudi Arabia.
The Belgian signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Ibrox side on Sunday and is looking forward to fighting on both the domestic and European fronts.
He also detailed what encouraged him to sign for the Light Blues. Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "For sure, several concrete options were financially better but that is not what is important for me.
"I want a really quick project and to build something together with the people of the club.
"I think if you make big changes directly, then you make people more nervous than they are already.
"You need to do it step by step. If I want to implement all my philosophies of football in five days, then it is impossible.
"Not here and also not in the other clubs before but in the end, it was always the result of a strong team scoring a lot of goals and playing attractive, dominant football, the things people want to see here.

"It is now important that we focus on ourselves and that we focus on what we must do better and play better football and get the fans behind the team.
"We want to have a better dynamic and not look far ahead at what is going to happen in six months. It is about now, next week, next month and week by week, we are building the story.
"There will be some bumps along the way but then we need to stay confident. It is like a marathon, so we can now focus on the seven points and try to sprint hard and lose our legs or be focused on the guy in front who is running and try to get their pace and try to get our pace in a better way so that we get a good tempo and can make a comeback during the season.
