Todd Cantwell was speaking after Rangers' 2-1 win over Sparta Prague in the Europa League.

The best 45 under the new manager?

Yeah, I think so. I think our game plan was perfect in the way we were going to press them. To be 2-0 up at half time against a good side was important for us.

Pleased with how you came through the second half as a group?

Definitely, like I said they're a good side for sure and we showed good resilience in that. Ultimately to get the win tonight was important for the group.

Does it feel like some repair work has been done with the support?

It was an immense atmosphere tonight. I think the fans will feed off what they see on the pitch, first half we couldn't have done much more. We were 2-0 up and I think the fans probably repaid us in that sense to give us a bit of support in that way. I think it makes it such a difficult place to play.

How pleasing to get your first goal of the season?

Yeah, like I said when I first joined it's not something I'm obsessed with but obviously I am in the team to create and make things happen so I was delighted to get my goal tonight.

Do you feel the team is growing?

Yeah, I think it has been for a while - from the moment I signed here, to be honest. I think we are in a good position now.

An extra motivation after the substitution on Sunday?

No, I don't think that. I know the reasons why I came off at the weekend. When you are booked in a game that can spin quickly if we went down to 10 men, I completely understand that. Do I think it was a booking? No but listen I was booked nonetheless! The important thing was we won and I am really glad we did.

You've got your own song - how does that feel?

It's amazing, me and Dani were having a laugh at the end. We tease each other and sing each other's songs every now and again. It's nice and builds morale. For the lads who don't speak perfect English, it's a nice way to break the ice and build chemistry.

Is that a bit of a bromance?

We are to be fair. From the moment we started playing on the pitch, I could tell we'd have a good connection on the ball, luckily we really get on off the pitch as well so that's important.

How are you finding playing on the right?

Yeah, it's a position I have not played in before. Listen as a player you do as the manager asks, the manager has asked me to play there and has seen something. He's said I've got a very good left foot all week and there you go I go and score on it so maybe he is a magic man after all.

You must feel in a good place to qualify?

Definitely. We have to take it game by game but I think tonight at home it was a big win. The group is still tight even with that win.
