Rangers travel to Ayrshire this evening aiming to maintain their unbeaten start under Michael Beale when they face Kilmarnock.

It's the first time the Ibrox club have visited Rugby Park since Derek McInnes' men returned to the Premiership.

With the artificial pitch to contend with and following 120 minutes of football against Aberdeen in the League Cup semi-final, the Rangers boss has promised changes to the personnel.

But just who will start the match? Our writers select their Rangers XIs.

We may see a raft of alterations to the starting XI for this game given the exertions of Sunday not to mention the playing surface.

The first change could see Jon McLaughlin replace Allan McGregor in goal. The back four is likely to remain the same but there will surely be changes in midfield.

Can Ryan Jack be asked to go to the well after playing the entire match against Aberdeen at the weekend? Glen Kamara will likely start the game and we may even see Scott Arfield replace John Lundstram who looked leggy on Sunday.

Malik Tillman simply has to start and of the front three, Fashion Sakala may make way for Scott Wright who is arguably deserving of a start following the impact he made when he came on at Hampden.

Rangers: McLaughlin, Tavernier, Goldson, Davies, Barisic, Kamara, Arfield, Tillman, Wright, Kent, Morelos.

If history has taught us anything, it's that Killie's plastic pitch is never going to be a place to risk players carrying knocks or recovering from injury.

That likely means Ben Davies and John Lundstram could sit this one out despite the significant loss that duo would represent.

Alfredo Morelos is another that should really play but such is the injury misfortune of Kemar Roofe and Antonio Colak that the Colombian must go to the well once again.

Derek McInnes knows Rangers' weaknesses inside out and given the height in his team, Jon McLaughlin should be given the nod in nets because of his dominance in set-play situations.

James Sands and Glen Kamara are the obvious choices in the middle while Scott Wright played himself into the starting line-up with a superb cameo against Aberdeen at the weekend.

Rangers: McLaughlin, Tavernier, Goldson, Sands, Barisic, Kamara, Arfield, Tillman, Wright, Kent, Morelos.
