Every word Giovanni van Bronckhorst said on Premier Sports after the match.

How do you reflect on that?

Very, very disappointing. We have so much at stake this month qualifying for the Champions League. The performance today was below par and it was hard for us to get into the game. In the beginning, they dropped deep which means they were afraid but eventually we didn't do anything with our ball possession. We lost a lot of balls and we didn't win our duels. Slowly they became better and better. We didn't react well after that and we never really got into the game. There were many mistakes and we gave many transition moments away. We were a little bit lucky it was only 2-0. For the penalty decision, I was surprised he gave the penalty with so much at stake for all the clubs involved. We want to take the right decisions and I think we couldn't do anything else with the deflection. The penalty was given and they scored. The most important thing now is for myself to reflect on our own game because we need to change it around on Tuesday, big time. The performance needs to be a lot better than we showed today.

Were the players uncomfortable in the system?

We played the same system that we normally do. Especially the first seven on the pitch, they played in the Europa League final. We looked like we were uncomfortable on the ball and that surprised me a bit today because we can be much more effective in our gameplay with the ball. We didn't show that today so that has to be a lot better next week.

Have the new players settled in?

It's a new season. We lost players and we get players on board. For them it's a new experience, a new club, a new environment. You always have changes like that. It's part of football. We lost together today. At 2-0, we are still in the tie and we are capable of making that up at Ibrox on Tuesday. First of all though, we must concentrate on our performance and if we have a performance like that again, we have no chance next week.

Were you surprised by that tonight?

I was most disappointed. We didn't do the basics in football. The quick passing, the control, the awareness of where the pressure comes from. Defensively we didn't look strong, losing balls too much. I'm confident if we change these things around we will have a much better performance next week.

You have done it before at Ibrox, is that a crumb of comfort?

My first feeling is not comfort. My feeling is we gave the game away today. The score should never have been 2-0. If we had our performance to the usual level then I'm sure the score would be different. It wasn't. We have to analyse our performance as a team, as players and personally because that's needed for Saturday and Tuesday.

Will Ryan Kent be back for the next game?

Hopefully. Ryan had a bad moment on Saturday when he had some problems with his ankle. Hopefully, he will be better for Saturday or Tuesday.

Was John Souttar left out with injury?

John also has a problem so we are assessing him to see what exactly the problem is which is why he didn't travel.
