Can you give us an injury update?

We have no new injuries. The players who came back from the internationals are fit to feature. No players who were unavailable before the break are back fit. Tom Lawrence is still not available.

How is Ridvan Yilmaz settling in?

For Ridvan this is a new club and country, he’s settling in really well. The beginning was a bit hard for him to get settled but I see improvement in his training, he looks more settled with the players. It’s always good to see that. We have to see in the coming weeks that he will feature more in the team. Of course, depending on what we need in games and his training.

Has the international break given a chance to reset?

Of course, we had some disappointing results in the last weeks. Especially the game against Celtic and two big defeats in the Champions League. The win against Dundee United helped us in terms of getting back to three points. That’s all we can do, stay focused on winning our games. That’s the most important thing and we have to continue with that. Tomorrow is a big game, we want to continue a run of winning in the league.

Rangers Review:

How impressed have you been by Hearts?

They always give a tough game. The Scottish Cup final, they had a good game. I’m pleased to see them play in Europe. We analysed them well and we always have a tough game away at Tynecastle, the last couple have been positive so we have to show the same spirit as before and do everything we can to get the result we want.

Can you give us more detail on the injuries?

Ben Davies is back in the squad with John Souttar, we expect him back after the World Cup. That’s the same for Filip Helander. Kemar Roofe is training now in big parts of the session. We need to keep assessing his load to see when he’s back. Hopefully, it’s sooner rather than later for Kemar and me. I have a lot of sympathy for John, he has problems he had before. He needed an operation and feels much better now as it’s difficult to play with the pain. It’s the first time in many months that he is pain-free and he can do his rehab. Hopefully, that’s the end of the difficult times he has had and we can get him back to full fitness.

Have you made a call on your striking decision tomorrow?

I have made my decision. You’ll see it tomorrow!
