How is the squad feeling after Liverpool?

We knew before the game that Anfield was a hard place to go. Everyone knows that they are a top team in terms of European football. What we wanted to achieve was to be better than our last game. That's our aim in the Champions League. It's not easy to play at that level, especially because we don't have experience there as a team. You could see with the Europa League how we built up through the years. Then in the last year we made it to the Europa League final. You need experience for these kind of games. Of course we are disappointed that we lost, but I think that we showed some good qualities in the second-half. We still have a lot to learn in the Champions League.

Is Ridvan Yilmaz's signing pushing you on?

Competition is always good when you play for a club like Rangers. There is always somebody there to push you forward. I worked very hard before pre-season, I came in very motivated and in good shape. What I wanted to achieve was consistency. I think I'm in a good way to do that. I'm pleased with the position I'm in. Of course some things could be better, that's football. The season is long, let's see what happens.

How do you feel halfway thtough the Champions League?

I cannot say in the first, second or third games that we didn't want to win. We go in to win but it's hard to win. We have used it as experience. We have used it for the league also. But we didn't come into the Champions League just to be tourists, no. We don't want to do that. The quality of the teams are very high. We are maybe not at that level right now, but we are trying to play every game better than the last. We analyse a lot of teams because you can learn. We will try to win all three games just as we tried to win the last three.

Rangers Review:

How have you found playing with Antonio Colak?

I have a very good relationship with him. I'm very pleased and happy because he's settled here quickly. He's scoring goals, he's in great shape, he's a very positive person and he's very professional. It's no coincidence that he's scoring like this. We talk a lot away from football and he's very motivated. 'Let's go tomorrow', 'let's win', 'you assist and I'll score'. He's really enjoying it here in Glasgow. I think you can see that on the pitch.

Can Fashion Sakala offer you something extra going forward?

Yes, I think he could offer us something different going forward. I was happy to see the subs react well when they came on to the pitch [against Liverpool]. That's exactly what we need. You cannot just play with 12 or 13 players, you need the whole squad to be ready to jump in. You play every three or four days here. Everyone does well in training, even if they're not playing. We play in two cups, the league and the Champions League. You need to have a big squad of quality players.

What do you make of St Mirren?

They're in very good form. They're third in the league, which is not a coincidence. We've watched them, they are a quality side. They defend very well and have a good structure. I need to praise them for that. We know how they will play and we respect them a lot, like every opponent. For sure it will be a hard game but I believe in our team and our positive mood. In front of our crowd, I think we will win tomorrow.
