Rangers boss Michael Beale spoke to BBC Sportsound following the 3-0 win over Motherwell at Ibrox.

Here is everything he had to say.

Another three points, I wonder how many marks out of ten you give your team tonight?

No marks this evening, I just thought it was an interesting performance from the team. We won 3-0, the positives are the three points and the clean sheet but I think we can be better than we were tonight, I think it's fair to say. We're a work in progress as a team, I think that is the easiest way for me to put it. I know that we have got a big job on, the players are aware as well. We are not playing with the rhythm that I think we can or to the potential that we can but while we're finding our feet it's important we continue to win games."

You don't mean no marks, you just know your team can play better tonight?

They can play a lot better. It was very similar to what I'd seen in the previous three games. We've managed to find the result that we wanted without being free-slowing and maybe that's just the story of the season so far that is weighing on the players. We need to spend a lot more time on the training pitch developing our style but while we are doing that we need to keep winning. It was a little bit of a flat performance tonight, I thought it was a flat crowd as well which is understandable because they obviously react to what they see on the park. The most important thing tonight was three points and another clean sheet.

Four from four, you must be thrilled with your start as Rangers manager?

Coming in that was the aim, to win these four games and go into the derby in a good place and we've done that. I think we need to improve, I think that's clear for everyone to see, I'm not going to stand here and say something that is not the reality of what I'm seeing. But the boys are having a right go, it's not a lack of effort, at the moment it's maybe a lack of cohesion.

Was there anyone who stood out for you?

I thought Borna Barisic was excellent coming back into the team. I thought he was very, very good. He gets a fantastic assist and that shows everyone what we've missed the last three or four games in terms of balance. Young Adam Devine in his absence has done very well. James Tavernier has been playing with both a knock and under the weather in the last week so we managed to rest him this evening. The positives were the three points the clean sheet and being able to rest some players late in the game as well.

How is Alfredo Morelos, is he a doubt for the derby?

I think he just at this moment in time had a bit of tightness. He has been playing with a few aches and pains hence why he didn't play in the Ross County game because he hasn't played much this year so the two games previous took quite a lot out of him. Let's hope that it is nothing serious but with Antonio (Colak) and Kemar (Roofe) back in training now that gives us more options in that area and that's what we need.

Is there a gap between Rangers and Celtic in your mind? A quality gap?

I think at this moment in time they are playing at a higher level than us. I think everybody can see that. They are in a good rhythm. This time last year we were six points in front of them so things can turn around with time, with good recruitment, with training, with a feel-good factor around the club. That's the aim. We need to go back to where we were and quickly but while we're in that process we need to keep winning games. The derby is a great leveller, they'll come here to our fans who'll be very buoyant, we've come off four straight wins so we should go into the game with confidence so we need to go hell for leather from the first minute.

Rory Loy gave opinion you would be happy with a point from the derby, is he right?

Never in a derby.
