Everything Michael Beale said to the BBC after the 2-1 win over Ross County.

How much of a threat were Ross County today?

Really hard, I thought they were excellent throughout. They had good energy and came here to press us. They weren't really dangerous in open play but I always felt at set-plays they carried a threat. At 1-0 it was a dangerous scoreline, particularly when you have been wasteful in the final third. You are wondering how your team will react and we did really well. We were a little bit fortunate with Borna getting the deflection but on another day we should score more because we dominated the game but Malky set his team up with a really strong game plan and he will be delighted with the way his team played.

Was it just missing a lack of clinical edge?

Definitely, yes. It's the third game in a week. It's about getting wins at the moment and we are certainly doing that. I'm the one most open-eyed to the work we need to do. We are trying to integrate new players and get new relationships on the pitch at the same time. We went with a really bold line-up when John Lundstram went off. We didn't go for Raskin or Kamara as holding midfielders and went for Malik Tillman. It was a good decision as it gave us the opening goal, which was particularly good. I just felt that all day we wanted one too many touches in and around the box. People were faking rather than getting their shots off. I don't think their keeper had too many bid saves. We had a lot of possession in their final third. That will come in time. We are just getting up to speed in that area but we have played three games in a week and won all three so I can't complain too much.

That's a dozen games in charge now. Assess the start. There's a lot to be satisfied with?

Yeah. I'm not assessing things like that. I'm just playing the game that's in front of me and trying to find a little bit closer to what I want in front of my eyes. Certainly here at Ibrox when teams sit back. It's a different type of game. The one in midweek we were able to press because Hearts wanted their share of the ball. Here at Ibrox, it's different.  We need to find solutions to opening the block. I think certain players can help us with that and a bit more time on the training ground too. Overall, I'm delighted with the results. If you had given me 12 played and 11 wins and a draw I would have taken it. I want to see a little more control at times. Today, we looked very tense in the last 10 minutes. It should be cleaner for us.

Can you offer the fans any comfort or support about any of the players who fans want to keep next summer?

I do. There's a couple of things here. The players having their ideas and the club having theirs. I'm navigating through both. Everyone knows my relationship with Ryan and Alfredo is very strong. They have been here a long time and if they chose not to be here, that would be on them. I would like both to remain but that has to fit into their plans and the club's plans as well. Those conversations are still to be had and ongoing. Malik's a no brainer for me. I would like him to be here for a number of years. He's an excellent young player and enjoying his football. That's for the people above me to organise.

How is John Lundstrum?

It destabilised us today. John is really important to our structure. He was fantastic in midweek. He's gone to block a shot and he's rolled his ankle. It looks like quite a nasty one. We will take a scan on that and update after 24 hours.
