MICHAEL STEWART says John Beaton's penalty award for Rangers last night was "100 percent" correct.

Kemar Roofe was the Rangers hero as he kept his cool and slotted home a late penalty after Ryan Kent was brought down by defender Ryan Porteous inside the area.

It could prove to be a big moment in the Premiership title race, with the games coming thick and fast as Celtic play catch-up when they host Hearts this evening.

While Stewart has no qualms about the penalty awarded to Rangers in their win at Easter Road, he believes there are some underlying worries for the club.

Taking to social media, he detailed why fans could be concerned should 'flat performances' continue.

He tweeted: "It was 100 percent penalty last night at Easter Road, tough one for Hibs but right call.

"Perhaps a little concerning for Rangers will be if a big decision doesn’t happen then points will be dropped because another fairly flat performance from them I thought, but huge win nonetheless."
