RANGERS have tonight been handed a huge boost ahead of the derby clash with Celtic on February 2.
Joe Aribo will be back available for Giovanni van Bronckhorst soon, as Nigeria crashed out of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The tournament high-flyers were humbled by Tunisia in the last-16 this evening, as Youssef Msakni bagged the only goal of the game.
Nigeria chased the match for almost the entirety of the second-half, as they tried to recover in order to progress to the quarter-finals.
But the sending off of Everton's Alex Iwobi ultimately meant that the game was beyond their reach, as Tunisia won the match.
Aribo has been away with his national side since the beginning of the month - and it was expected that he would miss the Old Firm derby should Nigeria live up to their expectations.
However, the midfielder will be on a plane home to Glasgow in the coming days after Nigeria's tournament exit, with Rangers now looking forward to getting him back involved in first team matters as the title race heats up.
Earlier today the Ibrox side received welcome news that Kemar Roofe had been omitted from the Jamaica squad, meaning he will be free to play in the Old Firm too.
So, this means that Rangers will only be without Alfredo Morelos through international commitments for the crunch match.
Celtic will currently be without Tom Rogic and Diazen Maeda because of international commitments, as well as Kyogo who is out injured.
Rangers also have games versus Livingston and Ross County within the next week.
